ABOUT NIZAM ORCUN

Nizam Orcun ONAL was born in Ankara, Turkiye in 1979. He completed his BA degree in the Ceramic Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Eskisehir Anadolu University in 2002, followed by his postgraduate studies in the same department at Ankara Hacettepe University in 2007. Subsequently, he obtained his PhD in the Ceramic Department at the Fine Arts Institute of Eskisehir Anadolu University in 2015. He began his career as a research assistant in the Ceramic and Glass Design Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Kayseri Erciyes University in 2009. Currently, he holds the position of Associate Professor and serves as the head of the Ceramic Department. His interests in the field of works include contemporary ceramics arts, ceramic history, and developments in European ceramics.
